14 September 2010 Jobfit opens new Mount Gambier centre One of Australia’s leading occupational healthcare providers, Jobfit Health Group, will further expand its South Australian operations with the launch of a Mount Gambier centre on 23 September. After serving employers in the South-East from its Adelaide centre over a number of years, Jobfit will open a centre on Helen Street with its allied health partner, Northcare Physiotherapy. The opening comes at a time of growth for Jobfit, which has seen a number of new centres open across Australia in the past twelve months to cater for the increased demand in pre-employment medical assessments. Northcare is a physiotherapy, sports injuries and rehabilitation business with approximately 80 staff located in 15 centres across South Australia and Sydney. Jobfit’s National General Manager, Steven Harvey, said the acquisition was part of a strategy to expand and diversify Jobfit’s comprehensive range of medical services. “Personal allied health services are a natural extension of our existing corporate healthcare operations and the acquisition of Northcare adds an important element to our overall strategy of diversification and expansion”. Northcare will retain all of its current locations, including its original flagship centre at Park Terrace, Salisbury.
