We ensure our nurses maintain clinical excellence, that they feel valued, and we give them the opportunity to further develop their skills.
As a business, service provider and employer we understand how important the work is that all nurses do. It stretches far beyond the medical assessments they facilitate. With May 12 marking International Nurses Day, it was the perfect time to hold a series of Annual Refresher Training workshops for all our nurses, facilitated by our National Medical Director, Dr Ilse Stockhoff and our Senior Nurse Leader team.
The work undertaken by all our nurses affects so many areas of patient health and wellbeing – both physical and mental – and we know that giving our clinical staff access to continued education is vital to enable them to deliver the best care. The Annual Refresher Training is one of our initiatives to ensure ongoing clinical excellence and professionalism of our clinical team.
The IMPORTANCE OF nurse workshops
The aim of the workshops were to:
- Highlight the importance of our nurses, and celebrate the work that they do.
- Further improve our service delivery through standardised practice across all of our Jobfit centres.
- Provide our nurses with updates on current standards and reinforce best practices for our medical assessments.
- Ensure our medical assessments remain of high quality. Therefore, we can continue to provide the best occupational health services to our clients.
- Share interesting case studies with our clinical team.
- Provide them with the opportunity for “on the job” education and hours for their CPD.
It was a great opportunity to spend some time together. Our nurses learn from each other, and therefore can further improve the way they work with candidates.
