Transforming challenges into opportunities for growth

16 January 2024 | News

With a Bachelor of Science majoring in Health Services Management — and a long history in the occupational health sector — Moses Khoury feels right at home with Jobfit.

As Jobfit’s Business Development Manager in NSW/ACT, Moses is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract new clients, and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

His days are varied — from prospecting, lead generation, and producing client agreements, to developing proposals, giving presentations, and conducting market analysis — Moses is involved in the entire client journey.

“At Jobfit, our job is to the streamline the process for the client. We can typically meet all of their occupational health needs under the one roof, which is great news for busy organisations managing complex workforces,” says Moses.

Driving growth isn’t without its challenges. But for Moses, challenges are simply opportunities in disguise.

“When I hear the word challenges, I think of transforming challenges into opportunities for growth. I definitely think that business development is my calling, because I always try to give a positive twist to things,” he says.

“I love having a meaningful impact in my work, supporting the wellbeing of clients across different industries and levels. From candidates working out in the field, to those in executive level positions”.

Fulfilling a client’s needs is like solving a puzzle

Moses knows that providing occupational health services isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

“To attack the problem, I’ll break down the potential client into industry size, figure out what their needs are, look at tailoring an approach to service those needs. Then, highlight how Jobfit can actually address them and support them along the way,” says Moses.

Surpassing client’s expectations means investing time in professional development. For Moses, this means staying up to date with market trends and insights, attending expos, conferences, and seminars, and building relationships with peers in the industry.

“Networking with potential clients is a key factor here. In particular, seeing what resonates with them and what their needs are. Then, developing a suite of services and a proposal to align with that”.

Driving growth requires support and collaboration

As a team player, Moses thrives on working collaboratively in a strong, tight-knit team.

“I love working with the Business Development team – we’ve got a really driven, supportive and collaborative group. The business itself has a strong positive culture, which I love,” he says.

“What I enjoy most is looking at progress and saying ‘what do we need to do better?’. We’re constantly doing that at Jobfit – taking good ideas, implementing them, and staying transparent with one another”.

“As a team, we’ll make sure we can come up with the best solution for our clients.”
