As per the Assessing Fitness to Drive standard, there may be a requirement to obtain further information from a treating doctor or treating specialist regarding certain medical conditions.
Note: If this is required there may be a delay in the finalising the report.
If a worker/driver has a medical condition/s (acute or chronic) it is advsiable for the worker to bring a recent treating doctor’s letter regarding their medical condition/s to the appointment. This may avoid delays in finalising the medical assessment.
This letter should include information regarding treatment, compliance, management plans and evidence of stability and control of the medical condition/s.
