Ensure Your Workforce is Job-Ready

The Jobfit Functional Screen (JFS) evaluates an individual’s ability to safely perform a wide range of functional movements in the workplace. While it is not specific to any single job role, it provides valuable insight into potential musculoskeletal risks that may arise during work tasks. Results are reviewed by a qualified doctor alongside any medical assessments and, where available, a Job Dictionary or Job Task Analysis, to deliver a clear recommendation on fitness for work. This helps employers make informed hiring decisions, manage workplace risk, and support a safe, sustainable workforce.

The Jobfit Functional Screen (JFS) helps employers understand a person’s functional capacity and potential musculoskeletal risks in the workplace.

JFS1: Focuses on general functional capacity. It assesses balance, posture, joint mobility, basic strength, and the ability to perform common workplace movements such as squatting, kneeling, lifting, and fine motor tasks.

JFS2: Builds on JFS1 and includes advanced assessments of strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness, making it suitable for roles with higher physical demands. JFS2 provides a comprehensive view of functional ability, helping to ensure individuals are ready to safely perform more physically demanding tasks.

Both JFS1 and JFS2 gives employers clear insights into an individual’s physical capacity, supporting safer work practices, reducing injury risk, and informing decisions around recruitment, role placement, and ongoing workforce management.

To ensure an accurate and safe assessment, please follow these guidelines:
Exercise Readiness: Avoid strenuous exercise immediately before your assessment and ensure you are rested and properly hydrated.
Wear Appropriate Clothing: Comfortable, flexible exercise clothes are required to ensure safety and flexibility of movement. Inappropriate clothing may result in a rebook of the assessment.
Footwear: Closed-toe shoes are required for safety during all functional and strength assessments.
Current Injuries: If you have an existing injury or medical condition, bring any relevant documentation or medical clearance. In some events, for the safety and wellbeing of individuals, medical clearance will be requested by the examiner prior to being able to complete the assessment.
