- What the Order 45 Health Assessment Includes
The Order 45 Health Assessment is a single, standardised health assessment for all NSW coal mine workers. It confirms a workers fitness for coal mine work and monitors health over time in relation to occupational exposures to dust, noise, chemicals, and other workplace hazards.
Unlike previous frameworks where pre-placement and periodic medicals were separate, Order 45 uses a one-assessment model that is valid for up to three years, even if a worker changes roles (subject to role and risk category alignment).

Standardised Reporting
All Order 45 assessments result in a standardised health certificate presented in a Red-Amber-Green (RAG) format. This single certificate replaces separate pre-employment, periodic, or site access medicals.
Examinations can be conducted at our Parramatta and Newcastle Jobfit centres.
